Gutterglove Construction

CLT Improvements offers the Gutterglove Pro, Ninja, Leafblaster Pro, and IceBreaker, each consisting of a durable perforated aluminum channel and a type 316 stainless steel mesh. This robust mesh is expertly integrated into grooves on both sides of each 5-foot aluminum channel section, making it a perfect choice for Charlotte gutter guards. These gutter guards are designed to be compatible with any existing gutter system, a testament to the versatility CLT Improvements brings to Charlotte homes. Gutterglove’s innovative design allows for simple installation, as it neatly tucks under roof shingles and snugly fits the gutter’s front lip. To maximize performance in shedding debris, it is recommended to install Gutterglove at the same pitch as the roof (up to 5/12 pitch). Nonetheless, installing these Charlotte gutter guards at an angle greater than 30 degrees is not necessary, ensuring flexibility in various roofing styles.

Aluminum Channel Frame

The extruded aluminum support frame used in our Charlotte gutter guards is anodized, enhancing its resilience against environmental factors and making it suitable for installation on copper gutters. The anodizing process transforms the aluminum surface into a remarkably hard, durable, and corrosion-resistant finish, ideal for the varying weather conditions in Charlotte. This aluminum oxide finish not only extends the life of the gutter guards but is also environmentally friendly, complying with current governmental regulations. As a natural reinforcement process, anodizing is non-hazardous and doesn’t produce harmful by-products. Anodized aluminum’s robustness is renowned globally, used in commercial building exteriors like the Sears Tower in Chicago, as well as in scientific instruments, home appliances, satellites, and other demanding applications.

Unique to the market, Gutterglove is the only gutter guard that incorporates an anodized extruded aluminum profile in its design, making it a superior choice for gutter protection in the Charlotte area. This innovative approach ensures that CLT Improvements’ Charlotte gutter guards offer unparalleled durability and longevity, safeguarding your home from gutter-related issues efficiently and sustainably.

Stainless Steel Mesh

The robust type 316 stainless steel mesh used in our Charlotte gutters is exceptionally strong, allowing for over 150 inches of hourly rainfall to be efficiently filtered into your gutter system – as demonstrated in our video. This type of steel, used in Charlotte gutters, is a molybdenum-bearing austenitic stainless steel, far superior in resisting general corrosion, pitting, and crevice corrosion compared to lower quality stainless steels like types 302 and 304. Often, the stainless steel touted for its non-corrosive properties in home and garden shows, particularly in cookware, is only type 304.

Type 316 stainless steel, however, boasts higher creep, stress-to-rupture, and tensile strength at elevated temperatures, making it an exceptional choice for the challenging environmental conditions faced by Charlotte gutters. This durability is crucial for withstanding marine and corrosive industrial atmospheres, aligning perfectly with the requirements for Gutterglove. Its widespread use in food processing, marine applications, and the medical field further underscores its reliability and safety, making it an ideal material for ensuring the longevity and effectiveness of gutter guards in the Charlotte region.
